Dorothy Sayers, "The Lost Tools of Learning"

For anyone interested in education, from either the teacher's or the student's point of view, I highly recommend this essay called "The Lost Tools of Learning" by Dorothy Sayers, she of the great translation of Dante's Divine Comedy and of the Lord Peter Wimsy series of mystery novels.
