David Mamet's Political Conversion
Following (knowingly or not) in the footsteps of David Horowitz, whose Left Illusions is a must read for any liberal not yet brain-dead, the playwright David Mamet, in an essay in the Village Voice in 2008, described his awakening to common political sense, and to the nonsense of continuing to believe the leftist ideology of “political correctness” in which (like many of us) he had grown up.

Now Mamet has written a book of essays called The Secret Knowledge: On the Dismantling of American Culture, in which he looks at familiar realities with newly clear-seeing eyes. I look forward to reading it and will share my thoughts when I have done so.
